Hi everyone, my name is James.

I created The London Handpan Academy a school dedicated to this beautiful instrument.

Having spent my younger years as a professional athlete I turned my time and focus to sound healing and wellbeing. I currently run the sound healing teacher training school in central London to certify gong practitioners. Following this, I was introduced to the handpan which I am truly passionate about.

I would love to introduce you to this unique instrument to really get a feel of how mesmerising it can be to play.

At this event we will look at the basics of exploring the handpan from the layout and chords to how to play the notes and create different patterns. We will experiment with improvisation and playing together in a group as well as getting a feel of the instrument. The handpans will be provided they are in the key D Kurd thanks to Yatao Handpans they are also available to purchase.
